Counseling in Winter Garden

What causes joy? A good night’s sleep? Running on the treadmill? Reconnecting with an old friend? A random act of kindness? Everyone has different ways of defining joy, but it can be easy to lose sight of the good in life. When our internal GPS systems go haywire, many of us resort to harmful habits, behaviors, and coping mechanisms that lead to addiction, such as drugs, alcohol, or unhealthy relationships to navigate our personal landscapes. How does one break free from such a vicious cycle when dealing with turbulent emotions? Jill Haire is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Addictions Professional and National Certified Counselor, Grief Counselor and Author offering the people of Winter Garden a safe, supportive, and non-intimidating environment where individuals can find healthy and natural ways to manage turbulent emotions and troublesome thoughts.

Areas of specialization include:

  • Relationships: The decision to leave or stay in a relationship is never easy. Is your partner your other half, or is that other half hidden inside of you waiting to be found? Relationships with friends, colleagues, and family member can also be put to the test. Do you set boundaries, cut ties completely, or forgive and forget? A neutral third party can shed light on the situation by encouraging you to look within yourself for truth.
  • Addictions: As humans, we do not like to experience feelings of confusion, sorrow, or loss. It is not surprising then that we welcome anything into our lives that will ease the pain, even if these ways are damaging to our health and wellbeing. Alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, relationships, and shopping offer a false sense of security, which can quickly turn to a downward spiral.
  • Grief: Losing a loved one is never easy, and grief comes in many different forms. The path to acceptance begins with understanding your grief.

You are stronger than you realize!
